W202 Running Rubbish & Star Diagnostics in Berkshire

Hi there,

Got a 1996 C230 Kompressor that is running really badly. I'll do my best to explain;

- Car starts and idles fine
- When driving if you use 10-20% throttle or less its fine
- 20-60% throttle and the car will VERY slowly and jerk-ily accelerate
- 60% or more throttle and the revs drop off until you release the throttle
- 100% throttle and it starts misfiring and looses revs etc

Has anyone else come across issues like this? Anything particular I can check myself without diagnostics?

Any is there anywhere reasonably prices that will do Star diagnostics in/around Reading area? Mercedes want £150 but I am very reluctant to pay that much!!

Any help would be warmly welcomed.
