Easy cruise control question, but not for me!

Hi All,

Can someone answer a straight forward query on the cruise control function on my 2006 C180 Sport Edition Saloon.

So........I understand how to set / adjust / cancel the cruise control function using the stalk on the streering column. However despite reading the relevant secition in the owners manual for the life of me I dont understand the LIM function that activates by pushing the button on the end of the same stalk.

Can I ask what is the LIM function and what does it do and what does it mean when I push the stalk and the LIM light illuminates on the stalk.
