E320 cdi ignition barrel problem

Hi everyone. I have an e320 cdi, year 2000 with 172k on the clock. I haven't driven the car much since July 2012, just back and forth in the drive or started it once a week. At the moment, the car starts, but the ignition is a little stiff when you turn it, although it does start, its a little slow when returning to position 1. I had the ignition replaced by MB in November 2010 and the work came with 2 years warranty which has probably expired now, Any help / advice would be appreciated.
