w124 suspension clunking

Hi Folks, new to this forum and in the last months have become proud owner of a 1996 W124 E220 Estate, 120k on the clock and in pretty good shape.

It has a fairly full set of paperwork, serviced by main dearler till 90k and also the original bill of sale for £28k. Cost £1800 from a chap in London, who was the 3rd owner and his wife had used for the school run for the last 6 years... It has not missed a beat or cost me any money in the last 3000 miles up in Aberdeen. I've pieced together the various receipts and think it was serviced yearly for the last 30k miles.

But I have a bad knock on the front suspension, that only happens in a multistory car park.

The MOT has the following advisories:
front propsaft coupling deteriorated & O/S N/S bottom ball joint rubbers split.

The suspension seems solid and I have jacked them up and nothing seems loose. However when I go up a multistory carpark ramp clockwise there is a thump from nearside suspension, i.e the one under most pressure as your cornering going on the up ramp... actually sounds like the suspension will fall off!!!!!

Has anyone had anything similar happen to them or any suggestions, before I take the car to an MB specialist, my local back street garage could not find any issues..... Thanks all.
