I bought my CLK 350 convertable last February from a main dealer with 12 months warranty which is obviuosly about to run out. After a dodgy first month with the car, mainly due to poor pre-sale prep by the dealer i have grown to like the car's performance and prestige, but am i driving a timebomb just waiting to explode and empty my wallet? Although my car has still only covered less than 38000 miles i have been unsettled by some of the negative comments on here about the V6 engines of the same vintage as mine (55 plate), and possible valve block problems with the 7 speed auto box. So my question is this, do i offload it now before armageddon and mechanical/financial ruin or take my chances and run it for another 2 years as was my original plan. All comments appreciated.:confused:
