Hi All,
My S500 only gets used occassionally for long journeys and due to all the snow & ice we've had recently I've not used my S500 in the last 4 weeks.
This morning when I came to start it, it struggled to turn over the engine so i'd like to put a maintenance trickle charger on the battery to get it back up to strength.
The owners manual recommends to disconect the battery before charging due to build up of hydrogen when charging. As long as the boot is open and it's well ventilated are there any other reasons not to trickle charge with the battery still in place?
