i have a 2001 w220 S320L with 69000 miles on the clock. my problem is that the eis module won't turn at all. i had the car at the dealership but had it moved since i thought it was mad for the tech to advise me to change the eis module, order a blue key, an additional key, the two front sam, the rear sam, gear shifter module and the ecu all at once. please take in to consideration that i bought it not driving. i find it rather odd that the tech wants me to purchase all these things without giving me a report stating that all these things are indeed defective or not out putting any signal. i however purchased the eis module, blue key and the additional key but when the technician that is helping me sort out the car replaced all these in my car still the the eis module won't turn to either position 1 or 2 as a matter of fact even start. i know when u are programming a new eis module the coloured key would light up and only when the light goes out then the module is ready for use with the additional key. the tech goes as far as having me aquired two used front sam with matching part numbers to try and get a proper diagnosis since the key is not turning in the ignition to use star diagnosis to perform a diagnostic scan for the direct problem. if any one can help me out with my problem it would be greatly appreciated as i have been trying for months without luck.
