mot pass??

On my wife’s car the window washer won’t work, it’s not the pump or fuse can’t work out what it is think they must be a break in the wire somewhere, so im thinking of wiring a separate button in for the washer.
question is will this be a mot pass if the washer isn’t working off the wiper stork and it only working off my button I put on the dash near the stork?
