98 S210 e300 turbo diesel.
The car went un-driven for a long time.
The battery went flat.
Battery charged, windows reset, all is good
But the alarm keeps going off.
Pressing the anti-tow and interior sensor off button, one after the other, seems to be stopping it from sounding.
I've read a lot on the forum about the siren batteries going flat / wearing out and I accept that this may well be the issue.
My question is;
Can the siren be dismantled and the batteries replaced?
If so, is there a knack to it I should know, before I start pulling the liner and what batteries does it take?
Unfortunately, buying a new siren is out of the question currently.
