As per title - boot lid won't open!
Firstly can I say a big thank you to David (aka drmw) who has helped me get the central locking working on the car.
To provide a quick overview - a couple of days ago the central locking stopped working in my car. The doors wouldn't open (but was able to get in as I have keyless entry and that opened the doors), all the compartments in the car locked and the boot wouldn't shut completely.
Having checked the PSE fuse as per David's advice, I found that it had blown I replaced and hey presto the central locking is now working fine (touch (veneer) wood!!). However, the boot will still not work - the button at the drivers side (for the boot) is showing red to say it is open and when I drive the instrument cluster flashes red to say the boot is still open.
I can visually see that the boot is partially open and that the soft close has not worked...I have tried pushing the boot down using brute force to shut but no joy...I have also tried using my key (metal one found inside the main fob) to manually unlock it but it won't turn...therefore the boot is still open and I have no idea how to get it shut...does this also mean that my PSE pump has gone (but central locking is still working fine)???
Any advice/help would be most welcome!
