Hi All,
My name is Greg, I'm 27, I live in Golders Green, London with my wife and 2 year old son.
I' currently have an Japanese A class. It is a 1998 A160 and was imported to the UK in 2006. It has all the Japanese signs, and the chassis sticker says Mercedes-Benz Japan and also been confirmed by my local Merc dealer that it is indeed from Japan.
It really doesn't make any difference as far as I know apart from small bits and bobs here and there, like getting an extra key. But yet I know is different, so I like that fact.
The car has been checked by the mechanic whom I am using regularly for the past 7-8 years, and he said he has never seen this year this clean. Which is really good news. I have a couple of things, but only parts that are getting worn in any car.
Mechanically it is neat, cosmetically it is neat from the outside. The inside has minor issues which I'll be correcting, will look for parts needed in the relevant topics.
So far I like the little car, I'm not small, and fit with ease, it seems nice. I will be looking to get an ML or an S class at some point for myself and this will be my wife's.
This is my very first Mercedes, so if I have noob questions, please excuse me :)
Greg
