How to worry a lad!

Morning all!

Have got an issue thats appeared on my 2002 CL500.. Ive searched this site and the net but can find the same issues as mine.

I fitted new pads and discs to the front around 4 month ago and had no issues.

I pulled off the drive yesterday morning and the first 3 times i braked, it felt like the ABS was kicking in. Like a shuddering through the peddle. the 4th time and from then on it stopped and braked as normal. I had no lights come on at all. Leaving work at 4pm, the peddle felt fine, but a mile into the journey i got the BAS, ABS and ESP failure "visit workshop" message come on. The power steering also went heavy.. I stopped and after a couple of restarts the lights went off. Brakes felt fine all the time.

Another mile on all the ligts came on again! Again with heavy steering but brakes still fine.. This again cleared after turning on and off a few times. The car drove home fine.

Yesterday evening i read that to start it up and give full left and right hand lock.

This morning on the drive to work, im getting random "normal" braking and random "shuddering" through the brake peddle. Ive got no warning lights appearing..

Anyone any suggestions? I understand Star is the way to go as a start point, but wondered if theres a common fault like the Brake light switch that would cause the shuddery brake peddle too?

Cheers in anticipation
