Door problem

Hi there, I'm new to the forum so excuse me if this is posted in the wrong place!

I have a 2008 C220 CDI Sport and am having a problem with the passenger side rear door. The outside door handle stopped working a while back and now the internal handle isn't working either. It feels as if it is still connected to the mechanism but is flopping about and not opening the door. Does anyone any ideas on how I could get the door open to remove the card?
