New 'EU' laws forcing car manufacturers to dump 'safe' R134a in favour of a Propane derivative HFO 1234yf.
Mercedes MB are refusing to use it. (Good on them.) I always thought the F-gas regulations (and others) were dreamt up by that fat odious idiot Prescott.
Seems I was wrong, the EU are behind that as well.
According to various news sources, Large company Honywell look to be behind the push. Maybe a bung or two could be affected.

Actually if they are not that bothered by safety of people and only the GWP, they should realy be using Ammonia NH3. it just cant be beat on performance, life of product, and ozone depletion potential. Except that everyones heard of it :rolleyes:
