I own a 1999 W202 C200 Petrol sedan and I have been having a problem with the vehicles kickdown. The car is only doing 40,000 miles and the transmission been serviced a long time before this problem came about, i.e, changed trans fluid and filter. Genuine Benz fluid and filter has been used.
I bought a new Genuine Benz kick down switch and I still have the same problem. the transmission shifts well I don't have any problems wit it other than getting no kickdown.
I was told that there is another switch that mounted on to the transmission that goes in hand with the kick down switch at the accelerator pedal but I'm not sure if this is true.
Any ideas of what the problem can be ?
