Fuel economy on C250TD

My c250 seems to be burning more fuel than usual. What could be the cause of this. Kind of hard to establish whether the mpg has gone down or not without the benefit of a trip computer but i suspect i am getting less mpg than before

What could be the the cause and how do i remedy this
