My w210 e320cdi has developed some very dangerous behaviours.
When I turn the car to the right, especially in the morning or in the wet, I hear a crackling / grinding noise (similar to the worn driveshaft noise on FWD cars), AND, it tends to "jump" or "hop" to the left when being turned right.
Hence when pulling out of the drive it is a virtual crawl, but in a straight line or turning left, it is all fine.
I have had the hub bearing replaced (left side where the noise is coming from) as this was thought to be the cause, but it's all come back.
I am worried that either something will cease up somewhere, or it will decide to switch lanes on a motorway....
Any ideas?
