Apologies if this has been asked before - I've searched but can't find anything.
I have a 2010 W212 E250 Blue Efficiency diesel, with the 5g auto box. Love the car, it's comfy, not too thirsty and has all the toys I need (except DAB, but that's another story).
About two months ago I went to Paris for four days and left the car on a friends drive in London. When I returned, I noticed the car was running very rough, but within a few miles all was back to normal and I assumed that the problem was diesel draining back from the filter and needing to be pumped through.
Not so, it would appear. Every morning when I start the car, it's runs poorly for the first few miles, then settles down and is perfect for the rest of the day.
The issue is that around 1500rpm, the engine has no power and feels like it's running on three cylinders rather than four. It's worse if I have the steering on full lock (coming off my driveway for instance) and is "lumpy" enough for my wife to comment on it from the passenger seat.
If I rev the engine out of gear, it still gives the same characteristic at 1500rpm, but it doesn't happen anywhere else in the rev range wether out of gear, or being driven. (unfortunately 1500rpm is where I seem to spend most of my life!)
I'm assuming an injector issue, but can't find anything to corroborate this - has anybody else seen this problem?
