After the winter months I like to take the wheels off & clean off any salt left on the insides of the wheel.
After using strong Alloy wheel cleaner on the inside you can find that you get left with lots of Black dots of brake pad material that just does not want to come off, any harder brush & you will damage the finish on the inside of the wheel.
O.K here is my tip, use a old Credit card, Store Card, Voucher card, use the edge of the card to remove the tops off these spots, once you have been all the way round the inside of the wheel re-apply the alloy wheel cleaner & use your alloy wheel brush again.
Hay Presto they come up like new, just ready for a good application of polish
