Hi all, first time I've been on for a while - I trust you're all well!!
I found my reverse lamps not working again the other week, an ongoing problem since I had the car, I have changed the switch - unnecessarily so, as it was a fuse in the cockpit, changed bulbs and have regularly changed said cockpit fuses.
Now then, both fuses are good, there's a feed in and out of the switching unit and a feed to the plugs which fit onto the reverse/fog light assemblies, but as soon as you put a bulb in, either side, the opposite side loses the 12v feed??:confused: I have used a spade connector, out of the block on a fly lead and tested that - 12v, I put this direct to the bulb posi and then earthed it on a bolt - no good, but fine with the spade in the fog feed and the same bulb which failed in the reverse feed.
Can anyone tell me how stupid I am and what I'm missing, I am novice with vehicle electrics, but know the basics, and I am truly baffled!!
