CLS starts intermittently.

I have recently noticed that the cls would refuse to start at irregular intervals. This happened during the course of my holidays in France. When i use the keyless go or key to start the car, all the lights come on as usual and disappear in seconds. I thought it was the battery, but a Mercedes specialist in France confirmed that the lights on board would not even appear if it was battery. The car revs and dies down, it's like something is not sending power to the engine to kick in. An acquaintance said it might be a captor that it is out of service.

I arranged for an AA service in France to tow the car to the next independent Mercedes specialist and surprise the car kicked in after 3 hours of futile effort and left the engine management light on the dash which disappeared after 10 minutes of drive. The specialist told me to still honour my appointment with him atleast to run a diagnostic on the vehicle. I 'm resuming work in the UK and cannot afford to stay in France till next week to run a diagnostic on the vehicle and besides the warranty company would rather prefer i repatriate the car back to the UK for closer examination.

Yesterday, on my way back to the UK, car started as usual and ran well to Calais and we boarded P&O ferry ship to Dover. Upon arrival in Dover, the car failed to start to leave the ship. People queueing in the back were impatiently waiting for the car to start to leave the ship and finally jumped the qeue and it was a total embarrassment. After several deliberate attempts to start the car, the car kicked in after 3O mns of waiting. I drove to the nearby BP in Dover to fill up my car to continue my journey back home. After the fill-up, car refused to start again and we waited almost 3 hours at the BP station before the car finally kicked in. When we continued the journey back home, the kids wanted to ease themselves at a conducive place, this time i can't afford to turn off the car and so my wife watched the car while the engine was running and when i returned with the kids, she had to go herself.

We returned home safely but am contemplating taking the car to a specialist to run a diagnostic closer where i live. Does anyone know any reputable specialist in Milton Keynes? This wasn't a good experience atall but i enjoyed the ride and comfort of the CLS in France. What a stunning car. Has anyone ever ecountered a similar problem with his car starting intermittently?

Thanks for reading :-)
