W204 Faulty Ignition Switch

Has anyone experienced this problem with their vehicle?
Last October my 2008 C320CDI failed to start, (all dash lights on as normal then message displayed "ESP Inop" followed by "Run Flat Inop"), & M-B Assistance was called. With the car started I took it to my main dealer & a front fuse box & relays were replaced with M-B contributing towards the cost.
On 15th April the same problem arose with the same two messages displayed. The car was returned to the dealership on the 17th for investigation & rectification. Initially they could not replicate the fault nor find a cause until one of the technician took the car home with him & it failed to start the next day. At least they now had something to go on. I'm still waiting for it to be fixed! Apparently the fault has been isolated to the ignition switch & a new one is due to arrive today, I'm told. A costly business as you'll imagine.
This is my first Mercedes-Benz & a lovely car, the most expensive I've ever bought &, sadly, the most unreliable I've owned having needed several unscheduled visits to the M-B workshops, (two glow plugs replaced, wheel alignment issue & twice the failure to start). I just hope this latest fix works & I won't have to spend so much time at the garage!
I'd be interested to hear if I'm alone with this ignition switch problem or is it a known fault. :(
